BPS separators operate with less than 1 PSI DP with high holding capacity of ferrous and non-ferrous contamination and an expected operational life of 16 years. This holding capacity allows for 2 month cleaning intervals with a cleaning process that takes minutes.
The Black Powder contamination levels reduced by 95+ percent before the pump, extending the post pump filter life and coalescer elements by 130 days. The housing differential pressure read 25 PSI for change out.
Currently, the filter registers 2 PSIG differential pressure after 130 days, so the interval is extended. This has eliminated 5.5 element change outs realizing a cost savings of $88,000.00.
The projected change out for these traditional filters will be twice a year, offering a savings of
$160,000.00 plus another $6,000.00 for reduced disposal fees.
Additional savings are realized by extended cleaning intervals of the BPS Separator and extended pump life. The diesel product is no longer sold as a blending stock with a reduced sale price, increasing profitability by $45,600.00.
The overall product line reliability is improved, increasing production and profitability. The base line savings for a 12-month period will be collectively $256,600, from an investment of $3,958 in BPS technology.
